Volunteers, respecting local community norms, managed a seamless distribution process. Collaborating with volunteers from Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mardan, Swat, and the Haashar Association, CACEP ensured the initiative's success.

Spreading Joy: Heartfelt Eidi Distribution Brings Smiles to Families
The door-to-door Eidi distribution for children and families in our program was a heartwarming success. Each child received Eidi to help with essential purchases, bringing joy and relief to many households. Eid gifts were also presented to mothers, further enriching the festive spirit and strengthening the sense of community and celebration.
Lighting the Path: Welcoming Eight New Futures into Our Education Family
Over the last 6 months, eight resilient children from conflict-affected areas in Pakistan have joined our education program, stepping out of darkness into the light of opportunity. Thanks to the unwavering support of our generous donors, these children have been receiving financial aid since January 2024, empowering them to pursue education, prosperity, and peace. Together, we are building brighter futures, one child at a time.

Dare to Dream Tour: University of Peshawar: Dr. Aamir Jamal
I’ve returned from my trip to Pakistan, and once again, the most meaningful moments were spent with the amazing, resilient children supported by CACEP. This time, we brought together children from Swat, Mardan, Peshawar, and Abbottabad for an Eid Party and Exposure Tour at Peshawar University under the theme "Dare to Dream."
Their intelligence and strength were truly inspiring, and their artwork was heartwarming. We enjoyed lunch together, followed by delicious Peshawari ice cream. The children also loved visiting the forest college’s Museum and Aquarium.
A big thank you to Anees, Safina, Saba, the CACEP team, Haashar Association Volunteers, and the University of Peshawar for your hard work and hospitality. And thank you to our CACEP patrons — your support makes this journey possible.
Jazak Allah, Aamir

Empowering Futures: Career Planning for Young Minds
CACEP recently organized career planning sessions for students, led by Mr. Zaid Islam and Mr. Gul Hameed. These sessions fostered an open and informal atmosphere, where students engaged in meaningful discussions on character and personality development.
Through inspiring success stories, the mentors emphasized the transformative power of education. The students also received guidance on SLO-based assignments and exams as tools for self-improvement. Their enthusiastic participation reflected a deep eagerness to learn, grow, and shape their future with confidence.

CACEP's Model Evaluation Underway
We are excited to announce that we have received funding to scientifically evaluate the CACEP model! Our key objectives include enhancing the model through valuable insights from CACEP families and stakeholders, sharing CACEP’s research-informed practices with international social development practitioners, and expanding support for gender justice and girls' education. We aim to mobilize this knowledge in Pakistan and globally. The evaluation will also lay the groundwork for future research collaborations between UCalgary, CACEP, and academic institutions in Canada and Pakistan. We have already completed data collection through participatory methods like photovoice, focus groups, and training sessions, engaging our children, their families, staff, and volunteers. Stay tuned for further updates as we continue this important work!
Virtual Breakfasts: Connecting Children and Canadian Supporters
- Each month, children in Pakistan and their Canadian supporters come together for a virtual breakfast, sharing laughter, stories, and meaningful conversations. These sessions foster a deep sense of connection across distances, while helping the children build communication skills and share their dreams for the future. Canadian supporters cherish the opportunity to connect and be inspired by the resilience of these young individuals.
Success Stories
Tayyaba Sawaira, a teacher at FG School Kakool, recently completed her master’s degree with the financial support of CACEP. Coming from a family where her father, a laborer, struggled to support his six daughters, Tayyaba's journey was made possible through CACEP’s assistance. She is deeply grateful for the organization’s commitment to promoting girls' education and its impactful support for underprivileged children.
Mahnoor, a BSc graduate from Islamia College Peshawar, earned 3rd position in her class, thanks to financial support from CACEP. After her father’s tragic death in a suicide bombing, CACEP’s aid was crucial in allowing her to continue her education. Now pursuing a scholarship in China, Mahnoor is deeply grateful to CACEP and plans to give back once she is employed.
